Sorry that it has been 4 weeks since my last update. When I get home I am so tired that I just want to lie on the couch or bed.
All is going well. I had my Level II u/s last Wed. and everything was fine. It's great when I get to see them. Hannah was VERY active. She just wouldn't keep still. At one point she punched Matthew...it was so funny. Matthew is laid back. It appears Hannah is like her mommy and Matthew is like his dad. I can't get over how they already have different personalities.
I'm 19 weeks PG and I've gained 20 lbs. The back pain is still there but now I have to deal with SWOLLEN feet and when I say swollen I mean swollen. Ivan refers to them as flintstone feet. The dr. said it's due to the salt intake. If anyone has any suggestions on how to deal with that PLEASE advise.
We are looking into getting a bigger place to make room for the kids. Once we have that we will start getting the nursery ready....that should be so much fun. I haven't registered yet but I already have my list of things that I want/need.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the summer. I can't wait for the fall.

I'm glad everything is going well with the twins! I don't have any suggestions for the swollen feet, although I do think you should try to get Ivan to give you a foot massage. It may not help with the swelling, but it'll feel good! :)

Have you tried putting your feet up? That helped me considerably. Also, if it gets too bad and uncomfortable you might want to try those TED suppose hose that old people with no circulation wear. They are hot and weird feeling but they work wonders.
Hang in there, hopefully once the hot weather passes it won't be so bad.
Also - not to scare you or anything but if the swelling gets worse or you start getting headaches along with it, be sure to tell your doctor right away. Those are signs of toxemia and pre-eclampsia, which is what I ended up having. I'm sure your doctor is already watching your for that but you can never be too careful.

I'm glad you posted an update too :)
about the swelling - like Kellie mentioned try putting up your feet as much as possible... Second to that - DRINK MORE WATER than you think you can stomach!! honestly - the more water you drink the less you'll retain it (for some reason) i can physically lsee when i haven't drank quite enough water!!
I say that but i have a very stiff left had and my dr. said it's retention and it'll be there till i deliver! I can live with that though :) and my hand looks normal at the very least!
About your sore back - have you though of a belly support? I started wearing the belly bra around 25 or 26 weeks and it made a big difference... Also - before that I would get a sore back as SOON as i'd lie down in bed - i hated going to bed... i bought the pillow wedge for maternity and WOW what a difference... now at 28 weeks it's a little flat ;) but i still use it all the time - makes a world of difference! I got that quite early and was SO happy - it's super cheap too (like 15$CDN) I'm sure it doesn't work wonders for everybody - but i still wanted to share, just in case it can help you!!
Update more often please :)

Wow, 19 wks already. That little Hannah better be nice in there. I'm sure she was just giving her brother a little "love" tap. Matthew just didn't wanna let momma to catch him hitting his sissy back.
For the swelling Flintstone feet, try soaking them in Epson salt and warm water. And cut back on your sodium intake. Watch your soups, they normally have A LOT of salt.
For back pains try warm/cold compress. (Most Dr's advise against heating pads.) Switching between cold and warm every 15 minutes should help.
Girlfriend you should go ahead and do your registry soon. Ya aren't gonna get any smaller! LOL. Most registries have the option to update online. But seeing it in person sometimes is better than the online pic.

I'm so glad you updated. I've been wondering how things were going. Sorry about the back pain and swollen feet. It sounds as if you've gotten some good suggestions. Take care and update more often.

I'm so glad you updated! It is good to hear the babies are doing great and you are half way there!! Can't wait to hear if the personalities really hold up to the early predictions!!
Not too much ass-vice to give you on the salt, but read the labels on everything and try to cook everything from scratch if you can (no cans, processed stuff)Easier said than done when you feel like this, but well worth it I am sure!
Keep those feet elevated and hope to hear more good news soon!

That's so cute that you saw Hannah punch Matthew! How amazing!
My feet are starting to swell too. I'm hoping that once the weather turns colder they won't be so bad. Is that wishful thinking?

I am so very psyched for you! The swelling is one of my problems too.
Everyone has the right idea about their advice for keeping your feet and legs looking somewhat normal. I add lemon juice (those plastic lemon things from the store) to my water just to make it taste more interesting. Seltzer (no sodium, of course) also is nice.
Good luck and keep us updated!
