    About Me

    Name: Liz
    Location: New York

I'm 37 and have been happily married since Sept. 2002. Ivan is truly my companion in life. Our TTC journey has felt like a never ending roller coaster ride. We had an ectopic PG in Dec. 04 and in April 05 found out my IF is due to tubal abnormality. We were told IVF was our only hope. July 05 we did IVF # 1 and it was a chemical PG. We did IVF # 2 in Oct. 05 and it was a BFN. In Jan. 06 we did a combined fresh and frozen embryo transfer and it was a BFN. We were determined not to give up our dream of having a baby. IVF # 4 was in April 06. The cycle worked like a charm and on December 20, 2006 we were blessed with Hannah and Matthew.

    Now it's really house arrest

I had my appt today. The babies are doing well. I love seeing them. I still haven't felt any movement. I've felt something but I'm not sure what it is, maybe it is movement.

They were both moving around a lot...it's so cute to see. Hannah was well behaved and did not hit Matthew today.

    Matthew ~ Twin B

The swelling has gone down and it's not so uncomfortable to walk BUT my cervix is shortening. Two weeks ago it was a 4 and today it was 2.8. As such, I have been placed on bedrest until further notice. I go back on Friday for another u/s. I am going to try to take it one day at a time and not stress.

I can't believe I'm 20 weeks PG...what a milestone. I will not let this get me down. I've come this far and truly believe that in the end all will work out.

Hannah and Matthew look great. I'm glad they are getting along. Sorry about the complications you are having. I'm glad you are keeping a positive attitude. Thinking of you.

I hope the bedrest does the trick, though it must be very tough.

Liz, the babies look great!! I'm sorry about the cervix difficulties. I know bedrest sucks but it is proven to help. Keep us updated.

Those kiddos are getting so big. 20 wks is HUGE a milestone, that's exactly half of a full term pregnancy. Hang in there Liz. Bedrest is rough after a couple wks, but it will be so worth it. Do your nails, catch up on some reading and soap oprahs, and get plenty of rest.

Beautiful babies. I love ultrasound pictures. It still awes me that such amazing creatures grow inside you.

Sorry about the bedrest, I know it sucks but I'm glad you are taking it in stride.

Beautiful babies...I'm glad they are doing well. Sorry about your bedrest and I hope it works. Take it easy.

God has a wicked sense of humour huh? Can't make anything easy!! :)

I was on bedrest for 6 weeks and it wasn't the greatest, but WOW is the reward worth every minute!! I would lay on my back for the full 9 months to do it all over again!

Hang in there and keep those U/S pictures handy to remind yourself what it's all for!

I know it is making you crazy being on bed rest but make the most of it - in 20 short weeks you won't get any more rest for at least 18-25 years!!!
I am glad you aer keeping your spirits up - your babies look beautiful!

Amazing to see so much detail. I hope that the bed rest does the trick although I'm sure it will drive you bananas. Can you get friends to bring you meals and entertainment?

Great looking babies!!!! Hope the bedrest isn't too bad or to long.
