    About Me

    Name: Liz
    Location: New York

I'm 37 and have been happily married since Sept. 2002. Ivan is truly my companion in life. Our TTC journey has felt like a never ending roller coaster ride. We had an ectopic PG in Dec. 04 and in April 05 found out my IF is due to tubal abnormality. We were told IVF was our only hope. July 05 we did IVF # 1 and it was a chemical PG. We did IVF # 2 in Oct. 05 and it was a BFN. In Jan. 06 we did a combined fresh and frozen embryo transfer and it was a BFN. We were determined not to give up our dream of having a baby. IVF # 4 was in April 06. The cycle worked like a charm and on December 20, 2006 we were blessed with Hannah and Matthew.

    Free at last!!

Those 12 days of bedrest felt more like 12 weeks. I went on Wed. for my appt and had another cervical check-up. All was normal so they think that last week when it was a 2.8 it was because I was having a contraction. I didn't feel anything. If that was what I had to expect for labor I would say bring it on but that won't be the case. Since all is normal I was relieved of bedrest...YAY.

I came back to work yesterday. I like my job but I was SO happy to be back. I would have been anywhere except home in bed. Although it wasn't fun if I had to do it over again of course I would and if needed for the long haul. I've made some modifications at work and will be reducing my caseload. I already spoke to the director about possibly reducing to part time if need be.

For now I will enjoy my freedom and take it easy.

Oh Liz, I am so happy to hear all is well and you don't have to be on bedrest. I know how difficult it was...hopefully you won't go through that again.

I'm happy to hear that you were able to be taken off of bedrest and go back to work. I'm glad that the director is working with you.

Take care of yourself and those precious babies!
