    About Me

    Name: Liz
    Location: New York

I'm 37 and have been happily married since Sept. 2002. Ivan is truly my companion in life. Our TTC journey has felt like a never ending roller coaster ride. We had an ectopic PG in Dec. 04 and in April 05 found out my IF is due to tubal abnormality. We were told IVF was our only hope. July 05 we did IVF # 1 and it was a chemical PG. We did IVF # 2 in Oct. 05 and it was a BFN. In Jan. 06 we did a combined fresh and frozen embryo transfer and it was a BFN. We were determined not to give up our dream of having a baby. IVF # 4 was in April 06. The cycle worked like a charm and on December 20, 2006 we were blessed with Hannah and Matthew.

    The countdown begins....

I went for my regular appointment yesterday and was given a star for Hannah's amniotic fluid increasing. It went from 2.9 to 3.1. They were very pleased and of course so was I. We were able to see the twins breathing...what a sight. It pleased me very much to know they are able to breathe on their own. I had the group B strep test and while they were doing that they checked my cervix and I was 2-3 cm dilated. That prompted the doctor to move up the c-section date to....Wed. Dec. 20. A week away...oh my, I can't believe it's that soon. I am nervous and of course excited. There are still some things I have to get them, including their Christmas outfits. Jenna, I will try to remember to get the stockings.

    Thanks for your good wishes!

Oh my Liz, I can't believe all I've missed. I had to go to Mexico for my job for 5 weeks and by the time I got home the laptop was the last thing I was turning on. I'm so glad things are going well. From their last pics the twins look great and it sounds as if they are doing great. It's great that you are being monitored so closely...it makes such a difference. I noticed in your last pic that you are delivering at Columbia Presbyterian....great hospital. They ranked #1 in NY state and #4 in the country. Their NICU is superb. You will certainly get the attention and services you will need. Try to rest...while you still can. I can't wait to see pics of the babies.

    I'm so excited for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh gosh! How exciting! Congratulations ahead of time. :) You seem much more calm than I was before my big day. I was induced...and I cried for weeks beforehand. Hahaha!
